Manchester City Win Carabao Cup

Manchester City won their four consecutive League Cup on Sunday at Wembley.

A crowd of 8,000 saw Aymeric Laporte head home Kevin De Bruyne’s free kick in the 82nd minute to give Manchester City their eighth League Cup.

Laporte was maybe fortunate to be on the pitch after he got away without a yellow card for his first foul on Lucas Moura. Laporte was then booked after stopping Moura running towards the City half later in the first half.

Guardiola’s side were deserving winners though, as they dominated the game and had 21 shots and 4 shots on target compared to Tottenham’s 2 shots and 1 shot on target.

The League Cup win for City still leaves them with the potential for a treble, with the Premier League nearly won and a Champions League semi-final against PSG to play.
