Team News

Brentford are without Shandon Baptiste who has a knee injury and Josh Dasilva is also out with a hip problem.

Bournemouth’s Steve Cook and Ben Pearson are rated 50-50 for the game, after they both came off with injuries in the first leg. Junior Stanislas and Lewis Cook are both out for the game.

The Manager’s Views

Brentford manager Thomas Frank believes the 4,000 Brentford fans can play an important role. Frank told the Brentford website that “The fans will be crucial. We are going into a game which will come down to the fine, fine margins. Some of the fine margins will be our fantastic fans who will constantly push us forward and be behind us during the game. They will make it louder than it has ever been before to help us over the line.”

Jonathan Woodgate says Bournemouth will aim to win the game, rather than hold onto the one goal lead. Woodgate told the club’s website “The mentality is to try and win the game. We don’t want to sit back and try and soak the pressure up, that’s not us or how we play.”

Final Thoughts

The game is still finely poised and both sides will try and win the game on the night, which will likely to lead to an open encounter.
