The Manager’s Views
Swansea manager Steve Cooper says the team will not change their approach despite going into the game with a 1-0 lead. Cooper told the club’s website “We’re aware there’s a 1-0 lead and a draw benefits us, but I don’t think you can go into the game thinking about that too much.”
Valérien Ismaël says his side need to play like they did in the second half of the first leg. Ismaël told the club’s website “We need to start the game on Saturday like we did the second half at Oakwell. That control, that intensity, it is what we need from the first whistle. Swansea didn’t play their best game, but they were focused and disciplined and did the simple things properly.
The game is still finely in the balance, with the expectation the second leg will bring more than the one goal that was seen in the first leg.
