PSG won the Coupe de France on Wednesday night with a 2-0 win over AS Monaco. The win came courtesy of goals from Mauro Icardi and Kylian Mbappe.
PSG took the lead in the 19th minute when Monaco defender Axel Disasi lost control of a pass from his goalkeeper on the edge of the box. Kylian Mbappe managed to steal the ball and squared to Mauro Icardi who placed the ball into the empty net.
PSG’s second goal came in the second half, when in the 81st minute Mbappe scored. A lovely run from Angel Di Maria led to the Argentinian finding space on the edge of the box to thread a ball through to Mbappe who made no mistake and sealed PSG’s 14th Coupe de France.
PSG will turn their attention at the weekend to trying to win the league title, with PSG a point behind Lille, before the last round of Ligue 1 fixtures.
